A very striking vintage 1970s Natural Zambian Emerald and Diamond Engagement or Dress Ring.
The Emerald weighs 0.70ct and has a lush transparent green colour. We have had the Emerald carefully re-polished by our Lapidarist to restore its original beauty. The video shows the remarkable condition of the stone at over 20 times magnification.
As is often the case with Emeralds, whose fissures reach the surface of the gemstone, there is some evidence of minor oil enhancement.
It is surrounded by a mixture of ten colourless natural diamonds in baguette and round brilliant cuts. The total weight of the diamonds is 1.00 carat.
The bold 1970s design features a basket that is quite high and sits off the finger. The ring is crafted in 18k white gold (tested), and is stamped 750 (for 18k gold).
Supplied complete with a certificate from the Gem and Pearl Laboratory stating that the emerald is probably Zambian and shows minor oil enhancement.
