A wonderful vintage 1980s fire Opal ring by Paloma Picasso for Tiffany & Co. This vintage ring was made in 1981 during the dying days of disco. It is set with an intensely coloured 20mm x 15mm oval cut fire opal. It formed part of the estate of a New York socialite. We like to think it made a guest appearance or two at Studio 54.
Paloma Picasso is the daughter of arguably the greatest painter of the 20th Century, Pablo Picasso. She grew up in France and started working for Tiffany & Co. in the early 1980s. She is famous for her bold use of colour and strident designs.
Featuring an intense orange, 20mm x15mm Fire Opal, the ring is in incredible original condition and is truly striking.
The ring weighs 20 grams, is a size M (UK), 6.25 (US) and is not re-sizable.
