A vintage Angela Cummings bracelet for Tiffany & Co., inlaid with jet-black Jade and Mother of Pearl.
Photographs and video can only hint at the quality and finish of this piece. In the hand, the bracelet is a masterpiece.
The story. Angela Cummings joined Tiffany & Co. in 1967 but did not launch her eponymous collection until 1974. She was known for her focus on craftsmanship, setting aside the traditional high-jewellery materials of Diamonds and gemstones in favour of delicate inlays of Mother of Pearl, Lapis, Turquoise and Onyx.
Provenance. This bracelet was bought in Frankfurt in 1995 and has been kept in pristine condition ever since. The original receipt, in Deutschmarks, still accompanies it.
Signed and sized. Signed Tiffany & Co. 750, with Angela Cummings's maker's mark. The bracelet measures 38.5mm wide, with a circumference of 17cm (6.7 inches) that fits a small to medium wrist, and weighs 118 grams. Supplied with the original receipt and a new Tiffany & Co. blue box.
