A style classic, the Elsa Peretti Diamonds by the Yard Necklace was revolutionary when launched in 1974. The idea of a diamond floating in a frame of metal was unheard of. It gave the diamonds instant wearability, a casual look far from the more traditional prong settings of the past.
This necklace features five natural diamonds (D – G colour and minimum VS clarity) with a total carat weight of approximately 0.25ct. Each diamond is fully encircled in a bezet setting. This version is currently unavailable at Tiffany & Co. but approximate new retail price is around £3,000.
This piece measures 16 inches in length and is signed Tiffany & Co. Peretti PT 950, and with UK hallmarks for platinum.
