A really striking 1.57tcw Old Cut Diamond Plaque Ring, with synthetic rubies, from the Edwardian period.
The Old Cut Diamonds are arranged in a rectangular fashion with milgrain edges. A delicate detail of thirty-two synthetic rubies surrounds three Old Mine Cut Diamonds with a total weight of 1.22ct. The diamonds are graded in the setting as H-I in colour and SI1-SI2 clarity.
A further twenty-six Old Mine Cut and Rose Cut Diamonds surround these, at 0.30tcw.
The plaque measures 20mm x 11mm, and the metal has been tested as 9k gold.
