A wonderful and very unique 19th century French Diamond Engagement Ring featuring an unusual band of black enamel on the rub-over setting. This ring was hand-crafted in 18k yellow gold in France in the late Victorian Era.
The 'G' colour diamond is an Old Mine Cut stone; G is an unusually high colour grading for the period, making this a highly desirable antique diamond engagement ring. Our accompanying video shows the diamond possesses great fire.
This ring is at once proudly old, but also decidedly modern in design and profile. It features a low profile which makes it very easy to wear, with no claws or other elements to catch on clothes or anything else!
On the rear outer edge of the band is a French hallmark for 18k gold.
