French Art Deco 9.63ct Unheated Oval Ceylon Sapphire & Old Cut Diamond Ring

A wonderful 9.63ct cornflower blue Ceylon Sapphire, hand cut into an off round oval. Unheated Ceylon Sapphires are extremely rare. Set in a classic early Art Deco 1920s setting and highlighted by two Old European Cut diamonds. The shank is handmade in 18k Gold and is stamped with the French Eagle's Head hallmark on the outside. There is a maker's mark visible but it is too worn to read.

This ring is a one-off; we have never seen a ring like it nor are we likely to see one again. Can be worn as an engagement ring or a right hand ring.

This exceptional piece forms part of our Loving Restored collection. The sapphire has been carefully polished and brought back to its original condition without altering the antique cut of the stone.

Supplied complete with a certificate from the Gem & Pearl Laboratory stating that the sapphire is of natural origin and is unheated.
