A wonderful antique Victorian Sardonyx Cameo. The cameo has been reworked into a pendant in by our wonderful Goldsmith using heavy 18k gold.
The Venus D'Arles is a 1st Century BC Roman sculpture which is now housed in the Louvre. This cameo is extremely finely carved in sardonyx and possesses a wonderful black sheen.
Size (excluding bail) 49mm x 39mm (1.9 x 1.5 inches).
