A wonderful antique brooch. A 18k yellow gold (tested) brooch with a secure safety pin closure is encrusted with sublime, natural unheated Burmese rubies. The rubies are of cushion, mixed cut which means they are unique! They fluoresce with an intense red under UV light due to the trace element, chromium.
The old rose cut diamonds form a beautiful adjunct and a total carat weight of 0.15ct.
Of course the double c motif was popularised by Coco Chanel but this piece is not made by Chanel.
