Paloma Picasso's Love & Kisses bracelet for Tiffany & Co., made and sold in 1985: a bold, chunky XOXO that is surprisingly easy to wear.
Put it on with jeans and a crisp white shirt, and very little else needs saying.
The story. Paloma Picasso joined Tiffany & Co. in 1980, and her bold use of colour and form was an instant hit. Graffiti on the New York subway inspired her Love & Kisses collection, and her early pieces are now much sought after by collectors.
The detail. A weighty 80 grams, with a fluid, chunky profile. The internal circumference is 17.5cm (7 inches), which fits a medium wrist comfortably, and the bangle can be gently squeezed closed or eased open to fit.
