A rare vintage Tiffany & Co. Emerald & Diamond 16-stone ring by the inimitable Jean Schlumberger. Tiffany no longer produce this ring with Emeralds, they now use Tsavorite Garnets. The Emerald version is hard to come by, and very sought after!
Jean Schlumberger, born in Alsace, France came from a family of textile manufacturers. The inspiration behind the 16-stone ring is a simple cross-stich, a nod to Jean Schlumberger's origins. The ring was first produced by Tiffany & Co. in the 1960s.
Set with eight natural round cut emeralds and eight natural round brilliant cut diamonds. The ring itself is crafted from 18k yellow gold and platinum. The diamonds are set in platinum claws whilst the emeralds are set in yellow gold claws.
The ring is a size P (UK) or 7.5 (US) and, of course, is not re-sizable. It is signed Tiffany & Co Schlumberger 750 PT 950.
