A wonderful Tiffany & Co. Elsa Peretti Circle or Disc Pendant in 18k Yellow Gold.
A true statement piece, the Disc Pendant was designed in New York during the late days of disco by the legendary designer, Elsa Peretti. It stems from a private collection of a New York socialite. This lovely pendant would set off any outfit.
Elsa Peretti joined Tiffany & Co in 1974. To say that she revolutionised the jewellery world is an understatement. Take a look at her bone cuff design from the mid 1970s; it could have been designed today. Her smooth naturalistic designs are still as fresh today as they were 40 years ago.
Elsa Peretti moved to Catalonia permanently in the 1980s and set about restoring the entire village of San Martí Vell. The Spain stamp that is found on so many of her pieces stems from her support of local craftspeople and her wish to have direct oversight of pieces bearing her name.
The diameter of this pendant is 3.5cm. The weight is 12.3 grams. The silk cord is 45cm long.
