Vintage Cartier Bi-colour Tubogaz Necklace

A wonderfully comfortable and elegant Vintage Cartier Tubogaz or 'gas pipe' necklace composed of intertwined white and yellow 750 (18k Gold). The necklace is super easy to wear and is in fabulous condition.

We believe this piece was probably manufactured in the 1940s or 1950s for Cartier by the atelier R. Boutet, who was based in the pretty town of Bourges, just south of Paris. It has been meticulously crafted and is in very good condition. Whilst not a statement piece, the subtle twists of metal provide an understated – but very chic – halo around the neck.

Signed Cartier, with serial number and French hallmarks for 18k gold, it is 16 inches in length and weighs is 34.2 grams.
