A 3.68ct Old Marquise cut Diamond, cut by hand and graded H/VS2 by the GIA.
Old cut Diamonds of this quality are very rare. Each facet was placed by hand, so no other stone will look quite the same. This one has a watery clarity that holds your gaze; our video shows how it plays with light far better than we can describe it.
The cut. An Old Marquise, or "Moval", sits somewhere between a marquise and an oval, and was cut long before modern machinery.
The ring. Handmade in the Art Deco period, the band is stamped PLAT, as was typical then; it tests as platinum. Tapered shoulders lead up to the Diamond, which is held by six pairs of delicate but firm double claws.
Practicalities. We have carefully serviced and polished the ring, and supply it with its GIA report and a luxury presentation box. The ring is currently a UK O / US 7, and of course we offer free re-sizing.
