A wonderful French Art Deco 8.50ct unheated Ceylon Sapphire Engagement Ring. Handmade with detail we have never seen before, this is truly a unique piece.
The Sapphire has a Cornflower to Royal Blue colour and excellent saturation. The pierced platinum (tested) setting is entirely handmade and features dragonfly detail on the gallery.
Unheated sapphires of this size are rare; we have not seen one of this size and quality in a while. The sapphire was originally cut and polished over 100 years ago. Part of our Lovingly Restored collection, we've had the Sapphire repolished by our Lapidarist to restore its original beauty.

The ring is in wonderful wearable condition; we have not vigorously polished the shank in order to maintain it's original patina. It is supplied complete with certification from London's highly regarded Gem & Pearl Laboratory.
