A wonderfully storied Diamond Engagement Ring dating back to the Art Deco Period.
This ring was made in the early 1930s and the prong setting was actually patented in 1931 by the maker A. W. Crosbee & Sons Ltd of Birmingham. The company was founded by Arthur Walter Crosbee in 1902 and continued until the 1940s.
The patent for the setting can be viewed here on Espacenet.
The ring features three bright white Old European Cut Natural Diamonds. The central diamond weighs approximately 0.40ct and the side stones weigh approximately 0.35ct each.
The band is hallmarked for 18k gold & platinum and is stamped with the Patent Number for the setting. We've included a picture of one of the setting illustrations submitted with the original Patent Application.
Currently the ring is a size M (UK) / 6 (US), however free re-sizing is available – just let us know what size you require prior to purchase.
Supplied Proposal-Ready™, complete with independent Jewellery Report and presentation box.
