This is a wonderful necklace. The akoya pearls possess a creamy colour and high lustre. Akoya pearls are sustainably farmed by inserting a piece of graft tissue into a mollusc - usually pinctada fucata.
These vintage pearls are in fabulous condition and the pink paste is a very pretty accent.
Hallmarked in the UK with a date stamp for 1962 and Anchor for Birmingham.
Each pearl measures approximately 6mm.
Hand Knotted.
