These very pretty earrings were made in Cairo, Egypt in the late 1940s, early 1950s. Their history and design makes them unique. These earrings have a very western look and were probably made for the vast ex-pat community that existed in Cairo during and after the second world war. They are made from 18k Rose Gold and are studded with pretty, old cut diamonds.
The total diamond carat weight is approximately 1tcw with the central stones weighing approximately 0.2cts each. Diamonds are bright and well matched. The setting incorporates a delicate millegrain edge.
They have Egyptian hallmarks in arabic script for 18k Gold and are marked as being manufactured in Cairo.
