A wonderful solitaire Old Mine Cut Diamond engagement ring. Set with a beautifully clean N/VS2 GIA graded diamond. Old Mine Cut diamonds were cut for their fire which was best showcased under candlelight. Old mine refers to the diamonds sourced from Brazilian mines, before the discovery in 1867 of diamond in South Africa. Brazilian diamonds tend to be warmer than South African diamonds. This warmth is not a quality metric but a marker of age.
The setting was made in the 1920s (approx), thus much later than the diamond was cut. It is made from 18k white and yellow gold (tested).

The diamond is laser inscribed. Ring size is currently size H. Free resizing is available to any size. Please enquire.
