A very rare and highly collectable ring from the Cartier Panthere collection. The ring is in wonderful original condition. It is set with approximately 3.45ct of scintillating white diamonds and individually shaped black onyx cabochons.
Only Cartier produces the highly specialised 'Pelage' setting. Pelage, which means fur in French, is a technique that involves pulling fine strands of fur-like fronds of metal over gemstones in order to give the impression of real fur.
First developed in the 1960s, the specialist artisans who create this type of setting require at least 10 years' experience working under the Master Setter at Cartier. No other jewellery house produces anything like it.
The ring is signed Cartier 750 (18k Gold), 51 with Serial Number and French hallmark for 18k Gold.
